Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Student Engagement budget.
- Manage student activities to include:
- SET staffing, budget, events, etc.
- Homecoming, Casino Night, Involvement Fair, and other engagement programming.
- Responsible for event management and student activities risk management procedures.
- Create effective marketing strategies for programs and events.
- Manage student organizations.
- Manage and coordinate Welcome Weekend activities.
- Manage and Coordinate the Community Block Party in August each year.
- Duties may also include additional Student Success responsibilities for the right candidate to include:
- Assisting with sophomore retention management.
- Assisting with junior retention management.
- Assisting with support for specific populations of students
- Assisting with social media and marketing.
- Assisting with Student Success Newsletter.
- Supporting retention task force groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to work occasional nights/weekends with student events especially during the Fall and Spring.
- Minimal travel required – 10% or less.
- Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of college staff, faculty, and students.
- Proficient with smart technology, computers, multimedia and modern education technology.
- Learning theory and student characteristics for leadership development.
- Principles and practices of event and risk management, principles of student discipline, legal aspects of higher education, team development strategies.
