The Department of Natural Science at the University of Jamestown invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry position to begin in August 2026. We are seeking a broadly trained chemist committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate chemistry education.

Position Overview:
This position will include teaching general chemistry, physical chemistry, and other courses related to their interests and expertise. These could include non-majors courses, and/or upper-level courses in inorganic or analytical chemistry. The individual hired will have a student-centered focus, engage in academic advising of chemistry and biochemistry majors, and participate in faculty service both within the department and in the broader university community.

- Master's degree in chemistry or a related field.
- Passion for excellence in teaching at an undergraduate institution.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Doctorate in chemistry or a related field.
- Previous higher education teaching experience.
- Experience in teaching laboratory courses.
