Key Responsibilities:
- Teach four undergraduate courses per semester including introductory sociology, deviance and social control, and specialized electives.
- Participation in ongoing scholarly activity and professional engagement- actively involving students in research is encouraged.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
- Engage in division and university services, such as curriculum development, committee work, and community outreach.
- Collaborate with local criminal justice agencies for experiential learning opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated potential for high-quality teaching, as evidenced by prior teaching experience or strong pedagogical preparation.
- Active research interests in sociological issues with at least one peer-reviewed publication or equivalent scholarly output.
